Another Step Toward the Future
Another school year has come to a close, and once again we watched with great joy as students from our program received their diplomas. But graduation wasn’t where their story began. It was the culmination of years of learning, perseverance, encouragement, and faithful support. Years ago, each of those graduates started the school year with the same simple tools every student needs—a backpack, school supplies, and someone who believed in their future.
Throughout those years, they needed more than encouragement. They also needed the practical tools that made learning possible. A backpack filled with school supplies may seem ordinary, but for many children it can mean the difference between starting the school year prepared or falling behind before the journey even begins.
Over the past two decades, we have watched children grow from uncertain young students into independent young adults. Along the way, we have provided countless backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other supplies.
Those items were never the goal—they were simply the tools that helped make education possible. Year after year, we’ve watched children who once needed help become graduates prepared for the future.
Another Step Toward the Future
Now another school year is about to begin, and a new generation of children needs that same opportunity.
Our Goal for 2026:
500 stocked backpacks at $25 each for students in the BOL Home, Youth Transition Program, and rural Feeding Centers.
$500 to support a literacy teacher at each Feeding Center, where children are learning to read and write for the first time.
Together, we can help these children take the next step toward the future God has planned for them. Every $25 backpack you provide is more than a collection of school supplies—it is an investment in the next chapter of a child’s life and another step toward the day that child walks across a stage to receive a diploma.
