A Problem Or A Blessing?!

Anytime we open a feeding program in a poor rural place we know the need is greater than what we can offer. Still, because of the great need, we choose to start with the little we have, meeting the pressing need rather than waiting. A little ragged stove and a few plates are all that we need in the beginning, but it is just a matter of time until the place is so crowded that the facilities we use are no longer sufficient.

Is this a problem or is this a blessing? I guess that all depends on what perspective you use to view the situation. It is a problem for us and our supporters as we need to increase our level of involvement. But, at the same time, it is a big blessing for the poor who desperately need our help. Most feeding centers are located in local churches where we can also see a double blessing as in most cases the presence of a feeding program brings about an increase in church attendance.

We are happy to share with you this month our recent feeding center ‘problems’. Two of our feeding centers, Buda and Harsova, outgrew their present facilities and needed to expand. We consider it to be our privilege and our responsibility to feed the poor and in the next few months we hope to assist them in expanding their feeding programs with new facilities to accommodate this growth. This is not a small project but one that will require a team of people to get involved. We hope you will share our vision and join us in the project.  The minimum need is $1500 for each feeding center in order to equip it with everything it needs. Keep us in your prayers as we step forward with this project. We know this is a significant need but we trust that “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Luke  18:27 . It would be a great blessing to exceed this minimum amount and be able to help the feeding centers with more during this construction project.

We pray that God will enable us to do more and do better for His glory.

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Prayer changes things—because prayer moves the heart of God. As we enter 2026, we invite you to join us in prayer for Bread of Life—the precious children we serve and the faithful staff God has placed in our care. Each prayer lifted up becomes part of His loving work of transformation. Together, we believe for healing, provision, and renewed hope as every child grows in His grace. Enclosed is our 2026 Prayer Calendar—a daily reminder to stand with us before the Lord. On one side, you have each child’s photo and birthday, and the calendar highlights those days. Take a moment to thank God for their lives and speak blessings over their futures. BOL Team

As the holiday season draws near, our hearts are filled with gratitude for God’s greatest gift—His Son, Jesus Christ. Christmas reminds us that love came down to dwell among us, and now we have the joy of sharing that same love with others. This year, we invite you to join our Christmas Shoebox Ministry —a simple yet powerful way to bless children in Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Romania. For many, these gifts will be the only ones they receive, but through them they’ll experience the warmth of God’s love and the hope of the gospel.

Elisabeth and Darius, two young souls brought together by the Bread of Life Ministry, grew up side by side, forming a sincere friendship rooted in respect and trust. Even from a young age, they believed that with God’s help, a heart committed to learning, and a willingness to walk in obedience, a better life was possible.
