Become a Part of Their Life!

Our Child Sponsorship Program allows sponsors to connect with our children. It builds a bridge of positive support to each child. When I walk into the room with a letter, the child knows exactly who the letter is from, their sponsor. We translate the message for the child, and then the child gets to respond. The younger children like to draw or color a picture for their sponsors. The older children write letters, and it is always interesting to see what each child wants to share with their sponsor.

On the other side of the sponsorship program, which most people do not see, are the children who are still waiting for a sponsor. I am asked countless times, “ Do I have a sponsor? ” or “ When will I have a sponsor? ” or “ Will you be my sponsor? ”. The children see the special bond, and they all desire to have a sponsor. It is so much more than just giving every month. It is about the relationship. It is about connecting our children to as many positive Christian influences and families as possible.

Every child has more than just physical needs. They have emotional needs and the desire to feel loved. A sponsor has the opportunity to show their sponsor child God’s love through letters, prayer, and monthly giving. Sponsorship creates a special bond between the child and sponsor that grows as the child grows. Our Child Sponsorship program relies on compassionate and committed individuals who become strong advocates for vulnerable children by taking an active role in their lives.

WHY SPONSOR A CHILD?

By sponsoring a child, you have the opportunity to touch a child’s life. You help them maintain access to quality education, necessary medication, and proper nutrition. Most importantly, through Bread of Life’s care, our children will learn more about Jesus and how they are created in His image with a unique purpose for their future.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A SPONSOR?

You are an advocate for your sponsor child! Your role goes beyond a financial commitment to provide support. It is essential you consistently pray for and encourage your sponsor child.

HOW LONG DOES A SPONSORSHIP COMMITMENT LAST?

You are not required to sponsor the child for a set amount of time. However, children never “age out” of our sponsorship program and are always considered part of our Bread of Life family, regardless of their age. Many of our children plan to attend college, and some aspire to learn a trade. We hope that sponsors walk with their sponsor child every step of the way to independence.

WHAT ARE WAYS SPONSORS HELP CHILDREN FEEL SUPPORTED AND ENCOURAGED?

The children love to receive letters from their sponsors and will keep them in a special place because they are so important to them. Some sponsors send additional money for Christmas gifts or birthday gifts. However, prayer is the most impactful way to support your sponsor child. We encourage sponsors to ask the children how they can be praying for them and stay updated on their prayer requests to see how the Lord is working in their lives.

HOW DO I BECOME A SPONSOR?

It’s easy! Just email us at bolsponsorship@gmail.com, and we will connect you with a child. We currently have 64 children and youth who are eagerly waiting for a sponsor. You could be one of those sponsors.

Every day, elderly men and women in the Broșteni, Romania area who have no one to care for them receive a hot meal delivered right to their door. Along with the food comes a warm greeting, a listening ear, and a helping hand from Iosif, who faithfully travels nearly 15 kilometers by bicycle each day, regardless of the weather. For the elderly he visits, the meal meets a practical need, but the visit itself often means even more. It is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. What makes these daily visits especially meaningful is the story of the young man making them.

If you have ever held a newborn in your arms, you know that few moments in life can match it. Yet the Bible tells us there is one moment that does — the moment a soul is born again. Heaven itself rejoices. Recently, I experienced two such moments in a single church service.
