Helping Ukraine – Building Two Food Trucks

He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed;

for he giveth of his bread to the poor. Proverbs 22:9

The war in Ukraine is well known to everyone by now. So well known that we risk becoming insensitive to the news reports no matter how bad or severe they are. As this war has negatively impacted global economics and our lives, we must be careful not to focus on our problems and lose sight of how blessed we remain.   P1-A2

Bread of Life in Romania, as a neighbor of Ukraine, has taken the responsibility of pursuing the strenuous task of helping the victims of the war. We have purchased medical supplies and hygiene items and sent a large portion of the aid we have received from our 40+ containers directly into Ukraine.

The war forced many Ukrainians from their homes with only a bag of clothes. Now they need food and shelter. We have recently purchased two vehicles that will become food trucks. Soon these mobile feeding units will be placed in areas where displaced Ukrainians are taking refuge as we join efforts with local churches to serve those in need.   P2-A2

The initial cost of the food trucks is covered, but now we are responsible for providing food, gas, and labor for the operation of these two food trucks. We estimate a daily need of $70 to operate both trucks. In advance, we appreciate your help in keeping this project running.   P3_A2

Please consider giving $35 for a day, $245 for a week, or $1,050 for a month to feed the children and families fleeing war zones. This small gift takes so little from us yet significantly impacts others and brings glory to God by showing His love in this time of tribulation.

Help Us Prepare for a Warm Winter As spring arrives in the mountains of Broșteni, Romania, we are already looking ahead to the next winter. For most of us, staying warm is as simple as turning up the thermostat or paying the gas bill. But for the children at the Bread of Life Children’s Home, we must prepare for warmth—months in advance.

Darius’ Journey: A Story of Faith, Love, and Resilience Darius’ life has been shaped by resilience, unwavering faith, and the power of love. His mother passed away when he was very young, leaving a void that shaped much of his child hood. Growing up in a family that moved frequently due to financial struggles, he learned to find joy in the simple things—playing outside with friends and making the most of each moment. But everything changed when he arrived at the Bread of Life (BOL) Home.
