Lessons From the Garden

Many from my generation cherish memories of gardening with parents and grandparents. I, too, fondly remember gardening with my family, and the lessons I learned have served me well.

At the BOLCH, our children learn the same lessons from our dedicated staff. These lessons apply to gardening and life, and if understood and heeded, will benefit them in the future. Some may even develop skills with which they can sustain themselves as adults.

Our children are learning that gardens demand constant care to prevent weeds from overpowering the good plants, that sunshine and rain are necessary, and the joy of completing a task well. As these children are learning to garden, we, as their mentors, are also learning.

We sow into them, continually planting seeds, cultivating their hearts, watering their souls, and nourishing their growth. We patiently wait for the Spirit of the Lord to bring the harvest, understanding that the process takes time. Let us continue tending the garden of these children together, with unwavering patience and dedication, eagerly awaiting the harvest.

Darius’ Journey: A Story of Faith, Love, and Resilience Darius’ life has been shaped by resilience, unwavering faith, and the power of love.
